This policy covers the PICULab Calc app for iPhone and iPad and this website, picucalc.com. In short: the app does not collect, send or share any data about you or your patients.

What stays on your device

Everything you enter or save is kept only in the app's own storage on your device:

the patient's numbers: weight, age, height, sex and gestation at birth. These clear by themselves 12 hours after the last edit. The app never asks for a name or any other identifier;
Code Blue sessions and their reports, which hold times, rhythms, drugs, doses and the weight and age. They are kept until you delete them;
your favourites, recent tools, quiz progress and settings.

None of this leaves the device through the app. Deleting the app deletes it. Like any app's data, it may be included in your device's own backups (iCloud or computer), depending on your device settings.

What we do not do

No accounts or sign-in.
No analytics, advertising or tracking, and no third-party code that does any of these.
No network requests: every calculation is done on the device.
We do not sell or share data, because we have none.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules the Code Blue alerts (the 2-minute rhythm checks and the adrenaline reminders) on the device while a code is running. They are local notifications and do not pass through any server.

The references in each calculator link to their sources. They open in Safari, and those websites' own privacy policies apply.

This website

picucalc.com uses no cookies and no analytics. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. The contact form sends nothing to the site: it opens your own email app with the message ready. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply.

Children

The app is a tool for healthcare professionals and is not directed at children. It collects no information from anyone.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date.
